Day #1

Last night we took the kiddos to a New Year's Eve party at the American Legion in Abington. They play music and games, and eat mountains of Chinese food too! They're also brilliant and turn the clocks ahead 3 hours so we can count down at "midnight" with all the children. Liv gets the biggest kick out of staying up until "12".
We left the party around 9:15 (real time) and when we got outside Liv said "Wow, it's so quiet. Look Mama, the moon isn't even full yet. I can't believe I'm still awake!" She's too cute.

We were home by 9:30 and went right into the usual bed time routines. After 4-5 poems from Shel Silverstein, Liv was kissed goodnight and I didn't hear a peep from her until 10AM the following morning.

At 10 o'clock on New Year's Day, Olivia stomped down the stairs in her bunny slippers (the ears move as you walk!) with terrific bed head and Teddy the blanket and Pinky the bear in tow. I said "Wow, babycakes, you slept super late!" To which she responded, " Well, I did stay up until midnight last night, Mama."

My sleeping beauty...
